“Чернотa”: [TSCHER-NO-TA] = BLACKNESS OR DARKNESS
That’s my black beauty “Чернотa”. It´s a KTM 690 Enduro R which was built in the year 2014. We “met” each other in late 2015 when I bought it with around 2000km or 1250mi on the Odo.
The decision to buy this type of a dual-sport-Enduro wasn’t that easy due to plenty of bad reports about the reliability of the KTM 690tys in general. Based on this discredit I did a few modifications for gaining the reliability and the long distance ability’s of this solid dual-sport-motorcycle. In the meanwhile Чернотa has over 140.000 km (or 87.000 mi) on the ODO.
